How to get to Belle Ile en Mer

You can reach Belle Ile en Mer from the Quiberon ferry terminal throughout the year.
The boat crossing takes 45 minutes.

The ferry company “ La compagnie Oceane “ provides daily connections for passengers and vehicles ( from 6 to 14 per day depending on the season)

How to get to Quiberon :

  • By car : on the RN65, go out in Auray then direction Quiberon ( 26 km ) Example of distance : Paris-Quiberon ( 505 km ); Nantes - Quiberon ( 160 km ); Rennes- Quiberon ( 155 km )
  • By train : to Auray train station ( 1h20 from Rennes, 3h30 from Paris Montparnasse ) Then, in high season you have to take the bus or the “ corkscrew “ train.

Getting around Belle Île en Mer

It’s possible to come to Belle Ile en Mer without car as there are many possibilities to get around the place :
  • Bike rental ( mountain bike, city bike or electric bikes ) ex : Roue Libre www.velobelleile.fr or Cheval de Fer : www.auchevaldefer.fr)
  • Scooters rental ( LMT car bike : www.lmtcarbike.com)
  • Cars rental (ex : Belle Ile Auto www.belle-ile-auto.fr , Locatourisle www.locatourisle.com)
  • By bus : the bus station is 20 minutes from the campsite, or a bus stop at Super U at 600 m. Belle Ile bus www.lescarsbleus.com
  • Hitchhiking : often used on the island.
    In this case, you can leave your car in the attended car park in Quiberon ( ex : The Sémaphore ( 1300 spaces ) open from April 1st to October 6th evening ( shuttles from the ferry terminal ) 02 97 30 59 45 or the Parking de Kerné ( 300 spaces ) 24/24H : (06 86 62 69 18 www.parkingdekerne.com)

Access to the Campsite

When you arrive at Le palais harbour, take the Jacques Le Blanc dock then the Gambetta dock, continue along the Bassin de la Saline, head towards the airfield, at 500m take left to Rosboscer ( the campsite is indicated ). The campsite is just 1.5 km from the Palais harbour, it will take 5 minutes by car, 20 minutes walking.

In short, when you leave the boat, you take the small street opposite, then you go straight along the quays.
At the end of the pier, go ahead and at the top of the road take left..the dead end street leads to the campsite.

In high season ( July-August ), every Saturday. Sunday and bank holiday weekends, we organise luggage transfers at your arrival ( 9am-12 / 2pm -5 pm).
A few days before your arrival, you will receive an email asking if you are interested in this shuttle, and your arrival time.
